A conversation is a group of messages that share the same subject. They can be started by either a machine generated event or user generated comment. Multiple parties can take part in a conversation, and add one or more messages.
Conversations can be found on the following pages:
- The sensor details page
- The KPI details page
- The machine conversations page
Note that conversations are not found on the machine timeline, as this shows individual messages in chronological order.
A conversation has a Normal, Cautionary or Emergency status.
For conversation subjects not related to sensors or KPIs these are all found on the machine conversations page. This includes subjects related to the machine itself, document uploads, location changes etc. You can open the machine conversations page by clicking on the conversation button (1) or by clicking on a specific message in the machine timeline (1).
This will open the Conversations page.
You can create a new conversion by clicking on the new conversion button (2). When you want to respond to an existing conversion you can click on the reply button (3).
When a new conversation is created or you give a response to an existing conversation, you can give it a priority status (4) and you can indicate whether a notification has to be send (5).
When the conversation message or reply to the conversation is ready you can send it with the send (6) button. The individual message will appear in the machine timeline.
