How do I create my machines (Excel Import)?

innius supports two mechanisms to upload a machine and its associated data such as parts, specifications, and other information:

  1. Load the data through one or more integration points with another system or systems. See more information
  2. Load the data by importing an Excel file. This is described below. 

Use the button "add machine" on the "Machines" tab in the system administration app. Select an Excel file or use the drag-and-drop facility to upload an Excel file with your machine data. 

From the "add machine" page, you can download an Excel template. Use this template to create your machine data. 

Once a machine is created, you can connect it so it can receive data. See more information on how to do this by means of a file, or learn how to accomplish it through a direct integration with another system
